First Vice President, Es’haq Jahangiri, inaugurated an industrial facility in the central Yazd Province on Tuesday, Mehr news agency reported. The factory produces steel radiators for central heating systems with full automatic production line in which more than 450 billion rials ($15.7 million based on official currency exchange rate) has been invested. With the annual production capacity of 64,000 tons, it is expected to create direct jobs for 150 people while more than 3,000 more will be indirectly employed. During his visit, the vice president also visited a number of other manufacturing units in the industrial city of Yazd. More than 95% of the radiators in Iran are produced domestically while the country is self-sufficient in manufacturing boilers, torches, powerhouse pumps, and heating generators.
