The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) on Saturday announced inflation rate of 15.5% for the twelve-month period ending on April 20, which marks the end of the first month of the new Iranian calendar year, IRNA reported.
As per the report, the goods and services consumer price index (CPI) for urban areas (using March 2011-12 as the base year) stood at 219.6 during the month, indicating 1.3% growth compared with the previous month. CPI has increased 16.5% compared to the same month in the previous year.
