Central Bank Governor Valiollah Seif is set to travel to the United States to attend the spring summit jointly held by the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group.  Accompanied with two other central bank officials, Seif will depart Tehran on April 15 for Washington, Tasnim news agency reported on Saturday.  Held twice a year, the spring meeting will host governors of member central banks and economy ministers on April 17-19. The next meeting is set to be held on October 9-11 in Lima, Peru.  Washington is set to be the host of the 2016 meetings of the IMF and WBG, according to the international fund's website.  The most important events of the gathering are economic roundtables at which senior IMF and WBG officials are present. Additionally, World Bank's monetary, financial, and development committees are scheduled to hold meetings.  Members of the Group of 24, established in 1971 to coordinate the positions of developing countries on international monetary and development finance issues and to ensure that their interests were adequately represented in negotiations on international monetary matters, will also be present at the international event.
