Various trading floors at the Iran Mercantile Exchange recorded the offering of more than 121,000 tons of commodities by local suppliers on Saturday trading, IME public relations reported. The oil and petrochemical trading floor played host to 30,391 tons of commodities offered by various petrochemical complexes. Epoxy resin, styrene butadiene rubber, styrene monomer, nitric acid, ammonium, paraxylene, polyethylene terephthalate, high density polyethylene, butadiene rubber, poly propylene, poly vinyl chloride, sodium hydroxide, and toluene diisocyanate were among the commodities offered on the floor. In addition, 48,300 tons of bitumen by Jey Oil Refining Company, 22,800 tons of bitumen by Pasargad Oil Company, and 12,000 tons of vacuum bottoms by Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company were put up on the board of the same floor. Elsewhere, the agricultural trading floor featured 3,065 tons of rice. According to the IME, more than 494,000 tons of commodities, valued around $148.7 million were traded in the spot market during the week that ended April 8, which saw trade volume and value grow 620 and 669 percent respectively.
