In the upcoming year, a special list will be created of receivers of the point-of-sales (POS) terminals from commercial banks in a bid to identify who “lose” their devices, said Hamed Mansouri, Asan Pardakht Company’s manager. Each POS terminal costs banks five million rials (about $180 at official exchange rate) and the users receive them for free. Those who have already received a device will not be provided with another, he said.
