Indian Ambassador to Iran, Shri DP Srivastava, says his country is keen to invest in Iran’s steel sector to produce iron powder, IRNA reported.  The envoy made the remarks during his meeting with Alireza Razm-Hosseini, the governor of Kerman – one of the richest provinces in terms of mineral reserves.  “Since India is among iron powder producing countries, we are willing to invest in Iran in this sector”, said the ambassador. Visit to the southeastern province, the envoy noted that Iran is among the biggest exporters to India and that the trade balance between the two countries is almost even.  Srivastava described mutual ties as strong, pointing to the recent agreements between the two country’s high-ranking officials in railway sector. The Indian diplomat added that his country is also interested in importing herbal medicine from Kerman Province. The governor, for his part, elaborated on the investment opportunities in the province in industries such as mining, transportation, railway, energy, pharmaceutical, and automotive. Razm-Hosseini assured the ambassador that Kerman would definitely support foreign investors.
