More than 420,000 metric tons of various commodities were offered at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Wednesday, reported the IME’s Public Relations and Foreign Affairs Office.

On the agricultural trading floor, 62,000 tons of flint corn was offered from different provinces, while traders could buy 25 tons of Brazilian flint corn.

 More than 33,000 tons of domestic chick peas were also offered on the floor as well as 20 kilograms of saffron and 1,200 tons of frozen chicken.

The industrial and mineral products trading floor witnessed the offering of 10,000 tons of slab C by Hormozgan South Steel Company at 13,800 rials per kilogram in the form of Salaf contracts. The company said it was ready to supply 50,000 more tons in case of more demand. Hormozgan Aluminium Company offered 1,600 tons of 99.75% aluminum ingots at 71,637 rials per kilogram.

According to the report, 50,000 tons of iron ore pellets from Jalalabad Iron Ore Complex were offered on the export trading floor at $20 per every ton. Some 128,000 tons of bitumen were also offered on the same floor.  

Wednesday’s major bitumen offers were made on the domestic oil and petrochemical products trading floor as 30,250 tons of different types of polymers were offered by different petrochemical companies. Sulphur and Argon were also among other commodities offered on the floor (3,700 and 210 tons respectively).
