Mouteh Gold Mine produced 602 kilograms of gold ingots during the previous fiscal year (March 2017-18), registering a 58% growth compared with the year before, according to data released by the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade.
The mine surpassed its production target of 258 kilograms for the year with a 133% rise in output, IRNA reported. Furthermore, 42 kilograms were produced in the last month of the year, Esfand (Feb. 20-March 20), showing a 10% growth year-on-year. Iran’s first exploited deposit of the precious mineral, Mouteh Gold Mine, is located in Meymeh County in Isfahan Province and has a production capacity of 300,000 kg.
