A local startup named PitStop has launched a GPS-based smartphone application, assisting motorists to find nearby automobile repair shops.
The app which is also dubbed PitStop, based on users’ location, lists the nearest trusted workshops, handling breakdowns, fixing mechanical failures and providing regular maintenance services, wrote local technology website Techrato.
In motorsports, a pit stop is where a racing vehicle stops in the pits during a race for refueling, new tires, repairs, mechanical adjustments, a driver change, or any combination of the above.
Services offered by PitStop include roadside assistance (tow trucks) and provision of car accessories 24/7 on-demand as well as regular maintenance services, fixing problems with electrical wiring and battery, wheel alignment, dent repairs and paint jobs, enabling motorists to select a nearby workshop for rectify the given problems.
