Imported Geely Cars Poised for Summer Debut in Iran

Iranian automotive firm Arian Khodro Pars has brought several units of Geely cars into the country to be tested by Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of Iran and the Ministry of Industries so as to obtain clearance for mass imports.
The first Geely units are expected to enter the Iranian auto market by the coming summer, Radin Peymanfar, Arian Khodro's director, told Mehr News Agency.
During the closing days of the last Iranian year which ended in March, Arian Khodro signed a contract with the Chinese automaker over imports of Geely cars into Iran.
According to local auto blog Asbe Bokhar, the imported vehicles are set to undergo technical inspections in order to obtain the required permits for mass imports.
