Borgward BX7 Hits the Road in Tehran

Local automotive company Kian Motor Varna delivered the first units of presold Borgward BX7 to customers this week in Tehran. Back in 2017, Kian Motor Varna signed an import agreement with the Sino-German Borgward Group as per which Borgward is set to deliver SUV models to the Iranian firm as completely built units. “The car comes with a seven-year warranty, equivalent to a 150,000 km mileage,” Siamak Mahtabi, head of Kian Motor’s after-sales services was quoted as saying by Digiato. Borgward BX7 is a 5-door, 7-seat SUV, powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline engine producing 224 horsepower. The model is also equipped with an iAWD system (Intelligent All-Wheel Drive); also called automatic all-wheel drive, it refers to any system that has the ability to automatically vary the amount of torque sent to the individual wheels. Borgward BX7 is currently priced at 2.9 billion rials ($125,800).
