VW to Build Convertible Crossover

Volkswagen has announced plans to introduce a new convertible model based on its recently revealed T-Roc crossover in 2020.  The company plans to invest over $98 million to build what could possibly be called the T-Roc Cabriolet in Germany, Jalopnik reported. The company’s announcement included a rendering, which features a folding hard-top two-door crossover.  Volkwagen CEO Gerbert Diess says, “Volkswagen is evolving into an SUV brand. The T-Roc is already setting new standards in the compact SUV segment. With the cabriolet based on the T-Roc, we will be adding a highly emotional model to the range.”
