Arman Motor Kavir, local auto importer of Luxgen vehicles unveiled the new S5 model at the Isfahan Motor Show (Jan. 23-26) in the central city. The Taiwan automaker made a debut in Iran at the Tehran Auto Show (Nov. 27 – Dec. 1), displaying S3, U5 and U6. Arman Motor is yet to announce the price for the models, local automotive website Khodro Nevis reported. S5 is a compact sedan and comes with two engine options, a 1.8-liter or 2-liter turbocharged gasoline engines respectively putting out 171hp and 191hp. The vehicle is equipped with a six-speed automatic gearbox. Arman Motor boss Farzin Torkipor had said earlier that the cars will be imported as completely built units. However, “the two companies are also studying the possibility of local assembly of vehicles.”
