Iran’s auto sector has notched up its ninth consecutive month of growth with Ministry of Industries reporting that 1,103,631 cars and heavy duty vehicles were produced in the country during the nine months to Dec. 21, indicating a 16.1% year-on-year increase.

As expected, cars had the biggest share (93.7%) of the total output with 1,034,881 units rolling out from local factories, followed by pickup trucks (%5) and trucks (%1). Buses and minibuses have less than a 1% share in the industry.
