The second round of Tehran International Auto Show will open on Nov. 27. The five-day event will be held at the new Shahr Aftab (Sun City) exhibition center in south Tehran. Large numbers of local and foreign firms are expected to attend, the Persian-language newspaper Donya-e-Eqtesad reported. Car shows are among the major public events on the domestic exhibition calendar and normally attract big crowds of curious folks and potential car buyers and sellers. Iran Khodro and SAIPA the two biggest local automakers, Kerman Motor, Modiran Vehicle Manufacturing Company and several other automakers will be present at the event showcasing their latest products. According to the event’s official website, 50 foreign companies from France, Germany, China, South Korea, Spain, Italy, Turkey and Taiwan will attend through their local partners or official representatives. Among the prominent foreign companies that will test their fortunes are Toyota, Renault, Citroen, Mitsubishi, Mazda, Burgward, and Volkswagen. Major heavy-duty vehicle manufactures will also be present, namely Daimler Mercedes Benz, Volvo, Scania, and Kamaz. Those interested can visit every day from 10 am to 6 pm.
