Kerman Motor Offering Discount on JAC S3

China’s JAC S3 small sports utility vehicle is on sale in Iran for 71.9 million rials ($18,800), according to a report in local media. The company is offering special discount on the vehicle for early bird buyers of up to 25 million rials ($655), according to Persian Khodro magazine. S3 is the “little brother” of the already released JAC S5, assembled and sold in the local market by Kerman Motor company for the past couple of years. The new vehicle was previously estimated to be priced at 700 million rials. Kerman Motor had announced that it would launch the model during the International Kerman Auto Show in December 2016. The mini-SUV is equipped with a nippy 1.5-liter gasoline engine and has 111 horsepower, according to reports from China. Kerman Motors will also launch the small JAC J4 in the coming months. However, the company is again behind schedule on that vehicle with the price still not announced.
