Auto importer, Datis Khodro, will offer five new Volvo models in the market in the near future.

Milad Alinaqi, the company’s CEO, said Datis will purchase the XC90, New XC60, V40, S90 and S60 models not from the carmaker directly, but from the German-Swedish Heico Sportiv, which offers automotive tuning services, local automotive website Asbe Bokhar reported.

Engine tuning is an adjustment, modification of the internal combustion engine, or modification to its control unit, otherwise known as ECU (Engine Control Unit).

Alinaqi says the vehicles will be “produced and imported on costumers’ demand” and buyers will have to pay a small amount of the car price in advance as a prepayment.

Datis has set the flagship XC90 models at 4.5, 53.5 and 6 billion rials ($118,000, $140,000 and $158,000).

XC60 is a smaller version of XC90, the model is priced at 4.5 billion rials ($118,000).

S90 is known as the XC90’s under-the-skin twin but its powertrains, however, are slightly less sporty. The model will cost 3.5 billion rials ($92,000).

The S60 comes in 4 different versions priced between 2 to 2.6 billion rials ($52,600 to $68,400).

V40, Volvo’s best-selling model in Europe, is priced up to 2.5 billion rials ($65,700). The model sells for $36,000 in Europe.

Several Volvo models, including V40, XC90 and XC60, were previously offered in the Iranian market by a local importer, Afra Motor.
