Pars Khodro, a subsidiary of the second biggest Iranian automaker SAIPA, has finally agreed that the long-awaited Brilliance C3 SUV will hit the roads before the summer ends, the company’s CEO said.
Nasser Aqamohammadi added that the new model’s sale, which was slated to enter the market in January, will be launched next month and the cars would be delivered in early September, local auto website AsbeBokhar reported.
C3, the latest variant of H220, H230 and H320 from the Brilliance family, only differs in shape and options with the common H230 hatchback, and is rumored to be priced at 550-600 million rials ($14,700-16,000).
The model, first presented at Shanghai Auto Show in 2013, comes witha 1.5-liter 105 hp engine and is equipped with both manual and automatic six-gear transmission.
With some 800,000 cars manufactured in 2016, Brilliance is the world’s 23rd largest auto manufacturer and China’s seventh automotive company vis-a-vis the number of vehicles produced in 2013.
