Urmia, the largest city in West Azarbaijan Province, is set to host an exhibition of vehicles and auto parts from July 4-7, said the manager of expos in the city, Alireza Ajezi.
Manufacturers and importers of light and heavy duty vehicles, auto parts as well as after-sales service providers and insurance companies will attend the event, the local auto website Persian Khodro reported.
West Azarbaijan is considered a transit corridor for goods between Iran and Europe, thus attracting investors and manufacturers to the expo.
According to Ajezi, the Mammut Industrial Group, the biggest manufacturer of cargo and commercial vehicles and trailers in Iran will also be participating. He did not mention the name of other major companies attending the event.
The last event held in the city was in September 2016 when national and international firms, including Mitsubishi, Chery and SsangYong were present.
Aims of the upcoming exhibition include promotion of local production and introducing the capabilities of exhibitors.
