SsangYong’s New Korando on Presale

Ramak Khodro, the official retailer of South Korean SsangYong Motor in Iran, has announced the presale of the latest version of Korando mini-SUV, saying it would start soon.
According to the company officials, the ‘Korando Facelift Premium Plus’ is priced at 1.45 billion rials ($38,900), with the car being delivered within two months, local auto website Persian Khodro reported.
The car is priced at $19,000 in the international market.
Buying in cash, customers will enjoy a 24% Mosharekat (partnership interest) – a Sharia-based partnership contract between the borrower and the lender – and in case the customer cancels the contract the interest rate will be decreased to 21%.
The company has also made it possible for buyers to pay a part of the car’s price in installments over a period of 12-36 months. The installment interest rate will be from 0 to 23.5% depending on the installment period.
Korando’s power comes from a 149-horsepower, 1.99-litre, 4-cylinder engine, available with a six-speed manual and CVT gearbox transmission.
