Pars Khodro, a subsidiary of the second biggest domestic auto producer SAIPA, is set to deliver a new Chinese-derived Brilliance C3 SUV in August, according to local automotive websites.

CEO of the company, Naser Aghamohammadi, said  the long-awaited C3 model -- which initially was due to arrive in January -- will be delivered in August, local automotive website Car.ir reported.

The new car, which is part of the same family of the other Brilliance models, including H220, H230, H320 and H330, is the latest variant.

The vehicle was previously on display at a Pars Khodro showroom in Tehran. The C3 is estimated to be priced at 550 million rials to 600 million rials ($15,200 to $16,700), according to company officials.

The model was first presented at Shanghai Auto Show in 2013. It has a 1.5-liter engine and comes with both manual and automatic transmissions.

With some 800,000 cars manufactured in 2016, Brilliance is the world’s 23rd largest auto manufacturer and China’s seventh company active in the auto industry vis-à-vis the number of vehicles produced in 2013.
