The Fourth Alborz Motor Show is scheduled for July 4-7 in Karaj, west Tehran, according a press release from the organizers.
The exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade and organized by Tana International Group, local automotive website Persian Khodro reported.
This year’s event includes a wide range of fields, including passenger cars, heavy duty vehicles, motorbikes, auto parts, and automotive technologies and after-sales services.
Registered companies for the event comprise Iran Khodro, SAIPA, Pars Khodro, Citroen SAIPA (formally SAIPA Kashan), and Arian Motors representing Nissan as well as Mitsubishi.
Other companies that have not formally said they are coming, but have shown interest, are Hyundai, Kia Mercedes Benz dealerships.
Over 150 automotive firms took part in the previous edition of the show that reportedly received more than 200,000 visitors. Iran Khodro Company, SAIPA, Kerman Motor Company, Chery, and Media Motors were among the participants.
The Karaj show faces increasing competition for exhibitors following the resumption of the Tehran Auto Show, held at Shahr-e- Aftab (Sun City), south of Tehran in February.
The show cancelled for several years, however, restarted with large exhibits by several car companies including MG, Chery, Renault, Iran Khodro and SAIPA among others.
As part of the PSA Group’s push for market dominance with their dual deals with SAIPA and Iran Khodro, they shared stands with local partners exhibiting both the new Peugeot and Citroen models.
