The fourth round of Iran Automotive Industry International Conference is scheduled for February 12-13 at Tehran’s Milad Tower International Conference Hall. According to the conference official website, the meeting will focus on after sales services, a hot topic that has been in the spotlight for ages in the country where car buyers hold most local carmakers in disdain for poor quality of their vehicles and equally bad after-sales service. Iran’s First Vice President Eshagh Jahangiri, and CEOs of the two main carmakers, Mahdi Jamali (SAIPA) and Hashem Yekezare (Iran Khodro) - will be present at the event. The website also states that more than 1,600 local and international participants are expected to attend. A local automotive website, Asbe Bokhar on Thursday said the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran has invited Carlos Ghosn, CEO of France-based Renault who also is CEO of Japan-based Nissan auto maker to participate in the event. The conference is set to host several other high profile automotive actors including PSA Executive Vice-President for Africa and Middle East, Jean-Christophe Quemard, Renault Senior Vice President Bernard Cambier and CEO of Scania, Henrik Henriksson.
