Citroen-owned luxury sub-brand DS has imported the medium-sized DS4 Crossback for the Iranian market. According to local automotive news website, Asbe Bokhar, the new model is estimated to cost 1.79 billion rials ($45,300) when it enters the market in a few weeks. The DS4 Crossback comes with a ride height 30 mm higher than the regular DS4 and the normal prerequisite for a semi-off-road model with butch styling. The car has bigger alloy wheels, skidplates and a set of roof bars. Engines have been tweaked for 2017, according to the company. The DS4 Crossback will only get the option of the Pure Tech 130 gasoline in Iran with the diesel not available to local buyers. Separated from Citroen, the DS brand has been asserting itself in the Iranian market since the latter half of 2016. In November the company was given permission to import its DS 5LS sedan in the local market. That car sells for around 1.92 billion rials ($48,600).
