The seventh Kerman Auto Show will be held from December 27-30 in the southeastern province with the same name.

The four-day event will be held at Kerman International Fairground, carnet.ir reported on December 21.

Major auto importers such as the local Kerman Motor Company, Karmania, Negin Khodro, Modiran Vehicle Manufacturing (MVM) and Irtoya will take part. Iran Khodro, SAIPA and Pars Khodro have yet to confirm.

Karmania will be representing two Chinese models namely the BYD S6 SUV and the BYD E6 compact crossover. Other carmakers are expected to unveil “surprise models.”

At last year’s event Karmania first unveiled the BYD S6 in CKD form to be assembled in Iran. Crossovers and SUVs were also popular at the previous event namely Rayen D60, JAC S5 automatic and the imported Honda odyssey.

Another event coming up soon is the third International Exhibition of Motorcycles, Parts, Accessories, Electric and Hybrid Vehicles (Ridex), which will be held from January 16 to 19, 2017 at Tehran International Permanent Fairgrounds.

The Ridex exhibition is Iran’s leading international event that focuses on motorcycles, bicycles, scooters, skates, jet ski and related industries and equipment.

The event brings together major competitors of the market from Iran and India’s Bajaj motorcycle company.

Along with the Trade Promotion Organization, the event is supported by the Iranian Association of Motorcycle Industry, the Iranian Motorcycle Parts Manufacturers Syndicate and Iranian Union of Motorcycle, Bicycle, and Parts Vendors.

The first edition of Iran Ridex was held in January 2015 at Imam Khomeini Mosalla Complex over an area of 6000sqm. A total of 62 domestic and foreign companies were present.

The second expo focused on quality improvement and was held in late January earlier this year. Some 100 firms took part including companies from China, UAE and India.

Nearly 100,000 people visited the 2016 expo including included manufacturers, exporters, investors and experts in relevant sectors. In 2016 the exhibit also received 200 visitors from China, Switzerland, Japan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Ukraine, Korea, India, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia.
