Renault Koleos Priced at 2b Rials

Renault’s latest crossover vehicle to enter Iran, the new version of the Koleos, is estimated to cost 2 billion rials ($51,800) according to local Renault importer, Negin Khodro. In an interview with Tasnim News Agency, the company CEO, Jamshid Husseini, said that the 2 billion rial price tag “could change due to the ongoing fluctuations in the exchange rate.” According to the company official, the latest model of Koleos is likely to arrive at the beginning of the next fiscal year (March 2017).  After the successful introduction of the large luxury Talisman sedan, the only Koleos to be imported will be the full-options version. He further noted that the imported vehicle will have to be adapted to local emissions regulations (currently Euro 4) as the car is designed for the European market which has a minimum requirement of Euro 6 fuel.  The company intends to bring in 700 of the vehicles in the first batch. The first generation of the Koleos, which is expected to hit the local market is produced in three different countries, including South Korea, India and Russia.
