A local Nissan dealership has launched the small crossover Juke in the Iranian market after a delay of months.
Jahan Novin Aria is offering the model in three variants: Skypack, Platinum and Sport.
The first two options are already available and the third is slated to arrive next month.
According to Asbe Bokhar, a local automotive website, the Skypack variant is priced at 1.24 billion rials ($35,000) and Platinum 1.39 billion rials ($39,000).
The Juke was originally released in 2010 and has only minor upgrades in its styling since the original release in several markets.
The options are likely to arrive in Iran from Japanese or Indonesian factories.
According to the local automotive website Car-Net, the company was established with the joint investment of Iran’s Jahangir Aria Group and the Oman-based Suhail Bahwan Group to sell Nissan cars in Iran under the direct license of the Japanese parent company.
On June 26, Financial Tribune reported that the pre-sales of four Nissan models would start in the second week of July and the cars will be delivered in autumn. This was stated by Jamshid Hosseini, the CEO of Jahan Novin Aria Company.
Hosseini had earlier said the four models are just a start.
“Iranians are fond of Nissan and we hope to bring more models in the future,” he said at the time.
The other three Nissan models likely to follow the Juke include the X-Trail, Micra and Qashqai, which are priced between $22,800 and $58,000.
