Irtoya, the local Toyota rep in Iran, launched a new after-sales and repairs hub in western Tehran on Thursday. The center, located on Azadi Street, is a 5,000-square-meter site and complies with Toyota standards. The site can receive 50 cars on a daily basis while the number is set to increase to 90 vehicles per day. The ceremony was attended by Toyota officials in Iran, the local automotive website Khodro Bank reported on Nov. 21. Hadi Sarhangi, the head of Toyota’s service stations network, noted that 90% of the spare parts for Toyotas and Lexus are available in Iran. “In case a spare part is needed that is not available in Iran, we will obtain them from the international Toyota network in no more than a week,” he said. Toyota has been trying to improve customer services in Iran over the past decade. Soon there will be 55 Toyota service centers across the country.
