Arian Motor Taban, the official representative of France’s DS brand in Iran, unveiled the DS 5LS model in its main showroom in the north of Tehran. According to local automotive website Car-Net, the vehicle is priced at 1.9 billion rials ($54,000), but with a special discount for the official unveiling of the car, it will be sold for 1.8 billion rials ($52,000). The new model was revealed at the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2011. Its interior is heavily aviation inspired and available with two center consoles, one of which is located on the roof directly above the other. With a head-up display in front of the driver, the cabin is designed to resemble a jet airplane. A hybrid convertible Citroen DS5 was chosen by Francois Hollande for his investiture parade as president of France.
