Auto production increased at some local companies while it dipped at others in the Iranian month starting July 22. Production at the country’s largest car manufacturer, Iran Khodro Company, SAIPA and Modiran Vehicle Manufacturing Company increased in the 30-day period compared with the same period of the previous year. IKCO saw a 38.7% year-on-year increase in production. During the same period of last year, the company produced 40,205 vehicles, Car Net reported. The number was 55,751 units in the current Iranian year (started March 20). A year-on-year comparison shows that production also increased by 58.4% at SAIPA in the past month. The company produced 45,258 units while in the same period of the year before, 28,568 units were manufactured. In the 30-day period, MVM produced 3,915 units, up by 70% from last year’s 2,303 units. This is while production decreased at Bahman Group and Kerman Motor Company by 27.3% and 25.7% respectively. Rayen Vehicle Manufacturing Company and Diar automobile Company did not produce any cars during this period.
