Saipa Yadak Company, the after-sales services subsidiary of Iran’s second largest carmaker SAIPA, has launched a new vehicle service application for mobile devices running on Android.

The app is free for download from local Android app store Cafe Bazaar, the local automotive website Persian Khodro reported.

The app can be used for a number of vehicle-related services and has been developed to speed up the vehicle servicing process and help combat the use of contraband auto parts.

By entering the serial number of an auto part or scanning its barcode, the app enables customers to check the originality of the parts instantly at the time of purchase.

This service is in line with a new directive released by the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade for combating contraband auto parts.

Users can also access a broad range of auto services in their city as the app includes a directory of all mechanical repair centers and auto part retailers.

In case of a breakdown, drivers can tap the SOS button on the homepage. The app will then pick up the driver’s location via GPS and send help.

The app has been downloaded over 10,000 times and was given a five-star rating by 224 users when this article was penned.

It is also available for direct download from Saipa Yadak Company’s official website: http://mobile.saipayadak.org/.
