The northeastern city of Mashhad in Khorasan Razavi Province is hosting Iran’s 16th International Auto Exhibition.

Featuring national and international firms, the exhibition opened on Monday and will continue until Friday.

Auto-manufacturing companies and other subsidiaries from Tehran, Yazd and Isfahan are participating, according to the official website of the expo.

Exhibitors are presenting their latest products in a wide range of areas, including passenger vehicles, heavy-goods vehicles, motor parts, front suspensions, batteries and electronic systems, tires and rims, audio systems, security and GPS.

The country’s second largest auto manufacturing company SAIPA and a number of its subsidiaries, including Pars Khodro, truck manufacturer Zamyad and manufacturer of heavy vehicles SAIPA Diesel are exhibiting their latest wares.

Iran Khodro Company, Iran’s largest and oldest auto manufacturer, is also presenting many of its models.

At the exhibition opening, Karmania, a local auto firm affiliated with Kerman Motor Company, introduced a special sale offer on its new Chinese sport utility vehicle BYD S6.

Modiran Vehicle Manufacturing Company, which represents the Chinese brand Chery, unveiled a new updated version of MVM X33 at the auto show. The car is a local variant of China’s Chery Tiggo 3 that was released in 2015.
