IKCO Showcases Cars in Kabul Exhibition

Iran Khodro Company has showcased its latest achievements in car production in the third solo exhibition of Iran in Kabul, Afghanistan.

During the inauguration of the exhibition in the Afghan capital, Iran's Minister of Industries Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh said, "I hope this exhibition, which emphasizes a new phase of cooperation between Iran and Afghanistan, can create an opportunity for investment in different industries of that country."

Referring to the importance of preparing the ground for boosting bilateral business ties, the minister said, "We are ready to strengthen our ties with Afghanistan and we ask Afghanistan to help enhance this cooperation and partnership," Fars News Agency reported.

Afghanistan's Minister of Commerce Homayoun Rasa said, "We expect the Islamic Republic of Iran to support investment in Afghanistan, as there is a wide range of potentials and capacities like energy and workforce in this country."

Rasa said Iranian goods can be imported with zero tariffs and added that "considering the good relations between the two countries, we wish to promote our cooperation and holding such exhibitions can be useful."

In this exhibition, Iran Khodro Industrial Group showcased IKCO cars as Dena, Samand, Runna and Arisun pickup, among which Dena and Arisun attracted the most attention of visitors. The third solo exhibition of Iran in Afghanistan was held at Kabul's Uranus Hotel for four days and featured more than 100 Iranian companies and 12 goods and services categories.
