A British-registered Hummer limo with the license plate "H2 XKX" has been banned from coming into Iran in Urmia, West Azarbaijan province.

The 8-wheel hummer luxury vehicle was stopped by Iranian traffic police as it struggled around the bend causing traffic on Iran's roads, a policeman in the northwestern town said.

According to a report by Persian Khodro, when the police pulled over the vehicle a customs guard was found in the back enjoying a ride.  

According to Britain's DVLA vehicle license plate check website, Hummer H2 was first registered in the United Kingdom on September 1, 2006, and last checked for its road worthiness on September 21, 2012.

There is also currently no information on the validity of the vehicle's insurance status.

There is no information currently regarding the vehicle, suggesting it has not been on British soil for a while.
