Iran’s second largest car manufacturer, SAIPA, started the presales of its latest model named Saina on Monday. The new vehicle is made on the same platform as SAIPA’s Tiba and is considered a revamped version of that car. Saina is priced at 276 million rials ($7,500 at market exchange rate), Eghtesad News reported. The company has said the cars will be delivered in April-May. Customers will have to provide a down payment of 150 million rials ($4,000) and the rest should be paid on delivery. Saina is just one of a new series of cars offered by the second biggest automaker in the country. Currently, SAIPA is building up its offering including teaming up with Chinese automakers to offer cars like the Brilliance platform, which offers hatchback, sedan and sportsback models.
