IKCO Production Picks Up

Production at Iran's largest vehicle manufacturing company, Iran Khodro Company, has increased twofold this month compared to the previous month.
The figure for the second half of the Iranian year (started Sept. 23) also shows production at IKCO has revved up and is nearing the targets.
According to an IKCO press release, supply and demand maintained a good balance, Eghtesad News reported.
Since the start of the current fiscal year (started March 21, 2015), the company produced and sold 378,938 passenger vehicles.
During this period, the most popular vehicles were two sedans. IKCO produced 89,657 and 89,641 units of Peugeot Pars and Peugeot 405 respectively. In third place was the hatchback Peugeot 206, of which 80,025 units were produced.
Samand, Tondar and Runna were other popular cars.
