A total of 626,101 passenger vehicles have been produced in the current Iranian fiscal year (started March 21, 2015), said the spokesman of Iran’s Automotive Policymaking Council. Compared to the same number of vehicles produced in the previous year, the figure indicates a 10.8% decline, Tasnim News Agency quoted Sasan Qorbani as saying. The number of all vehicles (light- and heavy-duty) produced in the previous year was 682,529 units.
