Qoros, a Chinese carmaker, has unveiled the newest model in their vehicle lineup, the Qoros 5 SUV.

The all-new vehicle is the first midsized SUV from the car manufacturer. It made its global debut during the 2015 Guangzhou Motor Show.

The Qoros 5 SUV has been designed by an international team that hails from Munich and Shanghai. As such, the vehicle is described as having a “German design with a Shanghai spirit.” According to Gert Volker Hilderbrand, Qoros vice president for design, the all-new SUV was designed to have an independent spirit.

However, it is still fashionable and in line with the latest mainstream trends.

The SUV comes with a sporty, dynamic and futuristic design that makes it stand out from the crowd. The front fascia is muscular with its sculpted front bumper and has athletic proportions.

The front end comes with shark-gill-inspired lighting and the rear comes with hockey-stick-inspired lighting. It is also equipped with 19-inch wheels.

Inside the sports utility vehicle, interiors are kept simple and clean. The cabin features refined materials with a sophisticated finish. The cabin comes in three colors. The interiors have leather upholstery, chrome accents and glossy piano black surfaces.

There is also a Bose audio system, a panoramic sunroof and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

The Qoros 5 SUV is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbo gasoline-powered engine that produces 154 horsepower and 169 lb-ft of torque. Its fuel economy is rated at 43 mpg.

The forthcoming vehicle is also the first from Qoros to receive a multi-link rear suspension. Other technical specifications have not yet been revealed.

The Qoros 5 SUV is expected to go on sale in China by the first half of 2016. It is then expected to enter the European market by 2017. It is priced at 150,000 Yuan, which is about $23,400 or 819 million rials.

It’s not known whether the vehicle maker has plans to bring this sporty looking car to the Iranian market. Currently no company is representing them as yet, according to online searches.
