Tiggo 5 Prices Announced

Local automotive firm Modiran Vehicle Manufacturing Company has announced the prices for the Chinese luxury car Chery Tiggo 5.  According to local automotive news website Persian Khodro, the company will be selling the car in four different options that are guaranteed for five years or 150,000 kilometers. Depending on the vehicles options, customers will have to pay 777, 847 or 927 million rials respectively ($22,220, $24,220 and $26,500 at market exchange rate).   The vehicles have 2-liter engines and can log 139 horsepower. The gear boxes either feature continuously variable transmission or are manual.   MVM Co. is an Iranian company representing the Chinese brand Chery. It first unveiled Tiggo 5 in August at Iran’s 15th International Auto Exhibition held in the northeastern city of Mashhad.  At the time, Amir Hassan Amiri, Modiran’s marketing and sales manager, said the company plans to locally produce Tiggo 5 and “the necessary infrastructures have already been set in place”.
