Iran will host the Third International Conference on Automotive Industries with a special focus on environment. According to Ali Mohammad Goudarzi, advisor to the minister of industries, mining and trade, the conference will be held during November 29-30 and aims to promote competitiveness in the domestic car industry at different levels. This includes supply chains, design and engineering, production efficiency costs and corporate social responsibilities, IRNA quoted the official as saying. Goudarzi noted that the conference will also investigate international cooperation opportunities in the regional markets, specifically potential investment opportunities in the auto industry. "To better serve customers and bring about a change in the auto industry, the conference will prompt experts to discuss the future of the industry in terms of new technologies, safety, eco-friendliness and after-sales services," he said. The event is organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade, Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran and Iran's Vehicle Manufacturers Association.
