Renault's local joint venture, Negin Khodro, is to offer new "VIP" services for local customers in the case of an emergency situation or breakdown.
Customers, who previously bought cars from the company and live in Tehran, can receive repair services 24 hours a day by calling a dedicated hotline number, according to a new press release from the company.
Negin Khodro has also announced it is providing an "on location" auto servicing program in Tehran to cut down on waiting times. These services includes Renault's annual "engine check", according to the company.
Other services include engine management checks and towing back to the company's headquarters in the case of a major problem.
Negin Khodro's website said the "on location" service is available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday to Monday.
Services are provided to all customers whether they hold a guarantee or not; however, they must register for the service beforehand. The new servicing unit has also signed a deal with the Touring and Automobile Club of the Islamic Republic of Iran to provide assistance in case a Renault representative is unable to attend to the breakdown.
