France's Renault will officially launch the Easy-R automatic transmission for Romanian carmaker Dacia’s Logan and Sandero models at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

This is a premiere for the Romanian sub-brand as all of its cars have only been available outside Iran with manual transmission up until now.

The Romanian carmaker will also show its 2016 Duster Edition at the international auto fair, according to Mediafax, Romania Insider wrote.

The Frankfurt Motor Show takes place on September 15-16. The French group will also launch its new Renault Megane model at the auto show.

The Renault group sold about 290,000 passenger cars under the Dacia brand globally, in the first half of 2015, some 27,000 more than in the same period of 2014. Last year, Dacia sales reached 511,000 units, up by 19% compared to 2013.

Automatic versions of the older Logan model have been sold in the local market for more than two years, with Iranian buyers choosing the model over manual gearshift models.

The first conference for introducing Iran's potentials in auto manufacturing will be held this year in Frankfurt. Iran will be dispatching a team of high-ranking business officials to the event.
