More than 100,000 vehicles were produced in Iran over a 30-day period ending June 21.

Recent statistics released by the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade indicate that 100,355 vehicles were manufactured during the period. This shows a 14.2% increase compared to the similar period of the previous year, Mehr News Agency reported.

Up by 23.3% compared to the year before, the number of passenger cars manufactured in the period reached 92,508.

In the same period, 6,715 pickups, 1,056 trucks, 41 buses and 35 minibuses were manufactured locally.

The production numbers point towards a growth in interest from Iranian buyers on the back of positive signals from the EU3+3 talks in Vienna.

Now that the talks have come to an end, it has been said that production numbers will continue to grow in the coming months.
