SCI Scrutinizes Inflation Rates of Iranian Provinces

Ilam Province’s goods and services Consumer Price Index registered an increase of 54.8% during the fifth month of the current Iranian year (July 23-Aug. 22) compared with the similar month of last year, the highest among all provinces. 
The year-on-year CPI increase was the lowest for Fars Province with 34.6%, the Statistical Center of Iran reported.  
The overall goods and services CPI in Iran registered a YOY increase of 41.6% in the same month. 
The overall CPI calculated for the country (using the Iranian year to March 2017 as the base year) stood at 180.8 in the month ending Aug. 22, indicating a 0.6% rise compared with the previous month. The growth in overall CPI compared with the previous month was the highest (2.8%) for Lorestan and lowest (0.4%) for Kurdestan.
