Iran traded 133,762 tons of non-oil commodities worth $230 million with Vietnam in the last Iranian year (ended March 20, 2019) to register a 42.22% and 448.18% decline in tonnage and value respectively compared with the year before, latest data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration show.
Iran’s exports to Vietnam stood at 115,259 tons worth $186.04 million, down 43.06% and 49.39% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year.
Vietnam was Iran’s 24th export destination during the period.
Iran mainly exported saffron, shrimp, dried figs and lead to Vietnam. It exported 18,503 tons of goods worth $45.74 million to Iran, down 36.35% and 42.6% in tonnage and value respectively YOY.
Vietnam was the 45th exporter of goods to Iran during the year.
The imports mainly included coffee, pepper, fish feed and cellphones.
