Iran traded 94,242 tons of non-oil commodities worth $344.08 million with Hong Kong during the last Iranian year (ended March 20, 2019) to register a 32.51% and 29.88% decline in tonnage and value respectively compared with the year before, latest data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration show.
Iran’s exports to Hong Kong stood at 73,289 million tons worth $202.57 million, down 11.36% and 47.3% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year.
Hong Kong was Iran’s 23rd export destination during the year.
Iran mainly exported fish, saffron and frozen chicken to Hong Kong during the 12-month period.
The country exported 20,952 tons of goods worth $141.5 million to Iran, down 63.21% in tonnage and up 33.06% in value YOY.
Hong Kong was the 28th exporter of goods to Iran over the year.
The imports mainly included data storage devices, mining equipment and machinery.
