Iran Cooperatives Ministry, UNICEF Sign Work Plan

Iran's Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare and the United Nations Children's Fund signed a joint work plan in line with the UNICEF country program for cooperation with the Iranian government and in accordance with the priorities set in the Sixth Five-Year National Development Plan (2017-22).
The work plan was signed by Deputy Minister Ahmad Meydari and UNICEF Deputy Representative in Iran Christine Weigand on Tuesday.
The agreement is focused on strengthening national capacities to expand the child-focused social protection policies and programs, UNICEF’s Iran Twitter account said.
UNICEF was created by the United Nations General Assembly on December 11, 1946, to provide emergency food and healthcare to children and mothers in countries that had been devastated by World War II.
