Iran traded 881,700 tons of non-oil commodities worth $578.01 million with Malaysia during the 10 months to Jan. 20, registering a 0.77% increase in tonnage and a 2.76% decrease in value compared with last year's corresponding period, latest data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration show.
Iran’s exports to Malaysia stood at 542,204 tons worth $219.83 million, up 5.69% and 18.85% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year. Malaysia was Iran’s 16th export destination during the period.
Iran mainly exported gas condensates, non-alloy iron/steel ingots and bitumen to Malaysia during the 10-month period.
Malaysia exported 339,495 tons of goods worth $358.18 million to Iran, down 6.20% and 12.52% in tonnage and value respectively YOY. It was the 19th exporter of goods to Iran over the period.
The imports mainly included palm oil, machinery and natural rubber.
