The western Iranian province of Kurdestan exported 1.77 million tons of goods worth $1.65 billion during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2018-Feb. 19) to register a 44% and 75% growth in tonnage and value respectively compared with last year's corresponding period.
According to Kurdestan Customs Administration's Managing Director Bakhtiar Rahmanipour, Iraq was the main destination of Kurdestan's exports, as it imported $998 million worth of goods and accounted for 60% of the total value of exports from the western Iranian province.
"The provincial customs administration earned 554.8 billion rials [$4.1 million] in revenues during the period, which indicates a 48% rise year-on-year," he said.
