More than 1.59 million tons of goods worth $1.35 billion were exported from the western Kurdestan Province during the first ten months of the current fiscal that ends in March, to register 45% and 63% growth in volume and value respectively, compared to the similar period of last year.
Meanwhile, according to the director general of Kurdestan Customs Office, Bakhtiar Rahmanipour,  10,722 tons of goods worth $29.27 million were imported into the province during the same period -- 79% and 50% decline in volume and value respectively year-on-year, IRNA reported.
Kurdestan has three terminals handling border trade.
